BHE1 Sports, in partnership with the Edmonton Oilers Alumni and the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation, is proud to host the 4th Annual ICE District Classic — a premier 3 on 3 ball hockey event in the heart of downtown Edmonton. Set against the backdrop of Rogers Place and the vibrant ICE District, this tournament brings together players of all levels for a weekend of high-energy action, community connection, and unforgettable moments. With support from some of the biggest names in hockey, the ICE District Classic is more than a competition — it's where passion, pride, and play come together.

GAME SETUP:
25 minute games;
5 minutes between games
TEAMS:
10 players dressed per team (9 runners + 1 goalie)
Open to all skill levels

$250 per team

BHE1 Spring Teams: Your ICE District Classic entry fee is already included with your spring registration.

3 surfaces: ~100' x 40' each
Full sized boards with gates & netting
EQUIPMENT & RULES
Players must wear the same equipment as required during the regular season(s). Full details can be found at: minor.bhe1.ca/content/equipment.

When is payment due and where do I send it?
Team fees are due by August 1. Please e-transfer BHE1 Sports your team fees ($250/team) (if applicable) to admin@bhe1.ca.
BHE1 Spring Teams: Your ICE District Classic entry fee is already included with your spring registration.
How do we submit our roster?
Download the roster form here. Rosters to be submitted by August 1.
When will we get our schedule?
Schedules will be released approximately one week prior to the tournament. The schedule will be posted to our website.
What equipment is required?
All players must follow regular-season equipment rules.
No whiffle/floor hockey sticks. Blade protectors are allowed for this event.

What time should we arrive for our first game?
Teams should arrive 20-30 minutes before their first scheduled game.
Where do we check in?
Team check-in is located at Fan Park @ ICE District at the BHE1 table. Only the coach needs to check-in.
What if we need to add a player late?
Late additions must be approved by the tournament team before being added to your roster. Please email us.
What happens if it rains?
The ICE District Classic runs rain or shine. Severe weather delays will be communicated on-site and by email/text through coaches.
Is parking available?
Yes - paid parking is available throughout the ICE District area.
Are food and water available on site?
Yes. Food trucks, water stations, and picnic tables will be available all weekend.
Can players play on more than one team?
No. Players may only appear on one roster for the tournament.
What is the refund policy?
Refunds are available until August 1. After that date, all registrations are final.
When are awards handed out?
Championship awards are presented immediately following each division final.
