The U11 Wolves North delivered an offensive clinic at home, defeating the U11 Thunder by a score of 6-3 in a game that became a showcase for one remarkable individual performance. The Thunder struck first, with Calvin Pavelich finding the net early in the first period to give the visitors a 1-0 lead. That advantage, however, was short-lived. The second period belonged entirely to the Wolves and, more specifically, to Brayden Anderson. Wearing number 15, Anderson erupted for a natural hat trick in the middle frame, scoring at 9:56, 8:47, and 1:29. He was expertly set up by linemates Michael Katua and Grey Catapuson, who combined for three assists on the trio of goals, completely swinging the momentum and giving the Wolves a commanding 3-1 lead heading into the final period.
Any hopes of a Thunder comeback were quickly dashed as Anderson picked up right where he left off. Just 59 seconds into the third, he netted his fourth of the game, again assisted by Catapuson. The Thunder managed to find some life on the power play after a Wolves penalty, with Lennon Siffledeen converting a setup from Pavelich to make it 4-2. The Wolves responded immediately, as Riley Gochko scored just 58 seconds later, assisted by Carter Jarvis and Nyla Minhas, to restore the three-goal cushion. Siffledeen struck again for the Thunder to pull within two, but Anderson would have the final say, completing a phenomenal five-goal night with an unassisted marker at 3:32 to seal the 6-3 victory.
While the spotlight shone brightly on Anderson's incredible scoring outburst, the game featured a solid goaltending duel. Munashe Berejena backstopped the Wolves to the win, turning aside all but three of the Thunder's shots. At the other end, Keir Patterson faced a relentless Wolves attack all night. The game saw its share of physical play with three minor penalties called, but the Wolves' penalty kill was stout, surrendering only the one power-play goal to Siffledeen. In the end, this was a story of one player's dominant performance, as Brayden Anderson led the U11 Wolves North to a decisive and memorable victory.
