The Jr Red Stars poured on the offense with a relentless three-goal barrage in the second period, overpowering the AllStars Titans en route to a dominant 4-1 victory on home ice. What started as a promising contest for the AllStars quickly unraveled, as the Jr Red Stars showcased their speed and finishing ability to seize control of the game and never look back.
The Titans drew first blood late in the opening frame, catching the Jr Red Stars off guard. At the 14:41 mark, Hendrix Pinter (#27) found the back of the net with a precision finish, with Nate Schick (#13) picking up the assist. The goal gave the AllStars a 1-0 lead and injected energy into their bench, as they looked to build momentum heading into the second period. However, the lead would be short-lived. The Jr Red Stars stormed out of the gates in the middle frame, completely flipping the script. Just under four minutes in, Masin Chaggar (#10) evened the score at 1-1, with Evan Doktor (#99) providing the setup. Then, in a stunning 94-second span, the Jr Red Stars struck twice more, first when Xander Lepine (#56) blasted home an empty-net goal at 2:10, followed quickly by Emry Brady (#2) adding another empty-netter at the 16-second mark, assisted by Arryn Bhatti (#15). The two quick goals, aided by the Titans’ pulled goalie during a delayed penalty situation, left the AllStars reeling and the Jr Red Stars holding a commanding 3-1 lead.
The Jr Red Stars capped their offensive showcase early in the third period, as Jaxon Brown (#11) buried a goal just 58 seconds in, assisted by Elliot Young (#34), to extend the lead to 4-1. From there, the Jr Red Stars’ defense clamped down, and goaltender Maxwell Bentley (#36) stood tall, turning aside 12 of 13 shots he faced to earn the win. Despite the lopsided score, Titans’ netminder Ashton Reiter (#88) faced a heavier workload, making 10 saves on 14 shots but ultimately being saddled with the loss. The Jr Red Stars’ potent second-period outburst proved to be the decisive difference, handing the AllStars Titans a frustrating defeat in a game that was tightly contested for just 20 minutes.
