The U13 Wolves Grey turned in a spectacular offensive performance, overwhelming the AllStars Shadowstorm with a decisive 9-3 victory. The game started with a surprising exchange, as the AllStars struck first with a goal from Kristopher Leong, assisted by Andre Vinette, to take an early lead. The Wolves, however, responded with relentless pressure, firing 22 shots in the opening period alone. Their persistence paid off with two quick replies. First, Slade Bilodeau-Peddle found the net, and then, just before the period ended, Colton Cassidy scored with helpers from James and Charlotte Killey, swinging the momentum firmly in the Wolves' favor.
The second period saw the AllStars mount a brief comeback, with goals from Micah Ng and Breton Dawson giving them a fleeting 3-2 advantage. The tide turned permanently when the Wolves' Chloe Chan scored to tie the game. Shortly after, a tripping penalty on the AllStars' Benjamin Smith gave the Wolves a power play, and Slade Bilodeau-Peddle capitalized to put his team ahead for good. From that point on, it was all Wolves Grey. The third period became the Slade Bilodeau-Peddle show, as he erupted for four consecutive goals, completing a stunning six-goal performance. His efforts included an even-strength tally, a power-play marker, and a spectacular shorthanded goal while teammate Chloe Chan was serving a tripping minor, assisted each time by the playmaking of Grey Catapusan and others. John Beniot added a late goal to seal the 9-3 final.
While the Wolves' offense, led by the unstoppable Bilodeau-Peddle, was the headline, their defensive effort was equally impressive. Goalie James Beniot backstopped the win, turning aside all challenges after the early goals to secure the victory. For the AllStars, goalie Kiegan Bealy faced a barrage of shots throughout the contest. The Wolves' ability to convert on special teams and their explosive third-period outburst proved too much to handle, cementing a statement win built on depth, finishing, and a relentless attack.
