The Snipers' goalie, Evan Yeung, faced a barrage of 16 shots in the opening frame alone, while his counterpart, Jacob Cassidy for the Gators, was tested even more with 21 shots against. The second period was an absolute goal-fest, featuring eight combined tallies. The Gators showed tremendous fight in the third, refusing to go quietly. Alexander Aberdeen scored early, assisted by Kahne Fischer and Benjamin Keith, to cut the deficit. Later, Lucas Krawchuk brought the Gators within two goals with just 56 seconds remaining, setting up a frantic finish. But any hope of a miraculous comeback was extinguished just four seconds later when the Snipers' Dominick Fader completed his hat trick with an empty-net goal to seal the 8-6 win. Yari DeBock added a power-play marker for the Snipers earlier in the period. Despite the loss, the Gators' offense showed flashes of brilliance, but they couldn't overcome the Snipers' balanced and potent attack, led by Fader's three-goal night and key contributions from DeBock and the entire forward group.
