The U15 Snipers and the Gators treated fans to a wild, back-and-forth offensive showcase that saw the Snipers emerge with an 8-6 victory. The game was defined by special teams and a relentless pace, with the Snipers setting the tone early. Just over two minutes into the first period, Dominick Fader of the Snipers stunned the home crowd with a shorthanded goal, capitalizing on a Gators power play. The Snipers' goalie, Evan Yeung, faced a barrage of 16 shots in the opening frame alone, while his counterpart, Jacob Cassidy for the Gators, was tested even more with 21 shots against. The period ended without further scoring, but the stage was set for an explosive middle frame.
The second period was an absolute goal-fest, featuring eight combined tallies. The Gators' power play came alive, with Devin Gray scoring twice with the man advantage and Benjamin Keith adding another. Mason Kleinhans also found the net for the Gators at even strength. However, the Snipers' offense was simply unstoppable, answering every Gators push. James Ploit, Yari DeBock, Lucas Thompson Pi, Dominick Fader again, and Cale Beeston all lit the lamp for the visitors, with DeBock's goal coming on the power play. The period was a whirlwind of penalties and scoring chances, with the teams combining for five minor penalties. When the dust settled, the Snipers held a commanding 7-4 lead heading into the final period.
The Gators showed tremendous fight in the third, refusing to go quietly. Alexander Aberdeen scored early, assisted by Kahne Fischer and Benjamin Keith, to cut the deficit. Later, Lucas Krawchuk brought the Gators within two goals with just 56 seconds remaining, setting up a frantic finish. But any hope of a miraculous comeback was extinguished just four seconds later when the Snipers' Dominick Fader completed his hat trick with an empty-net goal to seal the 8-6 win. Yari DeBock added a power-play marker for the Snipers earlier in the period. Despite the loss, the Gators' offense showed flashes of brilliance, but they couldn't overcome the Snipers' balanced and potent attack, led by Fader's three-goal night and key contributions from DeBock and the entire forward group.
