The Danglers put on an absolute clinic on the road, dismantling the Pink Panthers with a resounding 9-1 victory that was never in doubt from the opening puck drop. Mason Pacheco (#16) was the undisputed star of the show, notching an incredible four goals to lead the offensive onslaught. From the very start, the Danglers seized control, jumping out to a commanding 3-0 lead in the first period. Pacheco opened the scoring at 11:55, capping off a beautiful passing play from Hunter Hilsen and Ryder Gherbaz. He then struck again just over six minutes later to double the lead, before Thomas Simmonds got in on the action with a goal of his own, assisted by Pacheco and Hilsen. By the time the first intermission arrived, the Danglers had fired an impressive 29 shots on net, completely overwhelming Panthers’ goaltender Vincent Chabot (#0).
The second period saw no let-up in the Danglers’ intensity. Keiran Grosvenor (#8) extended the lead to 4-0 with a goal assisted by Coltir Bucci and Logan Moriconi at the 9:38 mark. While the Panthers managed to keep the Danglers off the scoreboard for the remainder of the period, they struggled to generate any sustained offensive pressure of their own. A flurry of penalties, including a double-minor to Hunter Hilsen for slashing and unsportsmanlike conduct, disrupted the flow but did little to slow the Danglers’ momentum. On the other end, Danglers’ goalie Joshua Gladue (#1) was a perfect 15-for-15 in shots faced through two periods, a performance that set the stage for a dominant finish.
The third period was a masterclass in offensive efficiency for the Danglers. Pacheco completed his hat trick and then added a fourth goal just 3:47 into the frame. Hilsen finally got onto the scoresheet with a goal of his own, and Garner Bigelow also found the back of the net. With the game well out of reach, the Pink Panthers finally broke through at 6:24 when Caleb Girard (#24) scored, assisted by Bennett Martin and Hudson Zalloni. However, Holden Lindsay (#15) had the final word, scoring a shorthanded goal with just 20 seconds remaining to cap the 9-1 demolition. Despite a late surge that saw Chabot stop everything sent his way after the Panthers’ lone goal, the damage had been done. The Danglers’ relentless forecheck and clinical finishing made for a forgettable night for the Pink Panthers and a statement victory for the visitors.
