From the opening puck drop, the Reapers were a team on a mission, immediately seizing control and never giving the U15 Beast a moment to breathe. The first period was a masterclass in offensive efficiency, as the home team bombarded the Beast’s net with an astonishing 29 shots. The floodgates opened early, with Alex Goltz (#19) opening the scoring at the 13:41 mark, assisted by Evan Bauer (#10) and Harrison Haigh (#6). Just 19 seconds later, Haigh struck again, and the Reapers kept the pressure on, adding three more goals before the first intermission from Wim Coderre (#7), Memphis Ford (#17), and another from Goltz. The period ended with a crushing 5-0 lead, leaving the U15 Beast reeling from the sheer volume of chances.
The onslaught continued into the second period, though the Beast managed to briefly halt the bleeding. Spencer Pearson (#88) of the U15 Beast finally solved Reapers goalie Zach Thomas (#31) at 13:25, assisted by Stavros Lamouelle (#68) and Silas Boskers (#6), making it a 5-1 game. However, the Beacon of hope was quickly extinguished. The Reapers responded with a ferocious three-goal burst, headlined by a hat-trick from Harrison Haigh, who capped his remarkable performance with goals at 10:40 and 9:02. To make matters worse for the Beast, the Reapers’ Mason Tymkow (#27) was ejected after receiving a 10-minute gross misconduct penalty at the start of the period, but the shorthanded Reapers only seemed to gain strength. The period also saw Reaper Liam Yaehne (#14) incur a slash minor, but the Beast’s power play failed to capitalize.
The third period was more of the same, with the Reapers adding two more goals to seal the 9-1 victory. Liam Yaehne (#14) and Memphis Ford (#17) each scored their second of the game, showcasing the team’s incredible depth. The Beast’s Justin Bennell (#18) took a hooking penalty late in the game, but the damage was long done. Goaltender Zach Thomas posted a dominant win with a 0/10 save percentage not being tracked, but the stat sheet tells the story of a complete team effort. The Reaper’s offense was relentless, and the Beast, despite a valiant effort from their skaters, simply had no answer for the home team’s speed and skill. The final score was a lopsided, but thoroughly deserved, 9-1 victory for the Reapers.
